Meet in Person
My name is Antoine Saad, 25 years old, born in Lebanon and a full time Marketing Specialist.
I started my career journey in retail, as an assistant sales, and worked my way up to a store manager. I have trained a team of 10 and managed all the relations and deals with our clients and suppliers.
I moved after that to an advertising agency to make my first debut in the advertising world. I started as an account executive where I watched, worked and learnt from my manager. Later on I got promoted to an account manager where I started managing 5-6 clients at a time and organise deals for new clients. I was so happy and motivated and got promoted to a marketing specialist where I worked there for almost 5 months until I received an offer from Macquarie University.
So I packed my bag and was ready to take on a new challenge. Whilst I was studying for my masters degree, I started working with AMD Engineering Pty Ltd as a marketing executive. The company did not have any sort of an online presence or a marketing strategy. So, I created their website, the blog, renewed their business cards, did some re branding and I was writing articles for them on a monthly basis. My manager was so impressed with my work he gave me a promotion to a marketing specialist. I did more work on their online presence and LinkedIn page and within a year time, the company was registered on Google, LinkedIn and pretty much all over the web.
I continued to work and learn at the same time; the marketing team and I at AMD Engineering did some SEO, SEM and EDM as all that did not exist before we started. After 7 months of achieving this task, I got myself a new challenge where I was working to get the company new clients and projects for the upcoming years. For this reason, I created a data sheet with all our existing clients, and added some future clients that I wanted to target for 2017-2018. I started attending seminars for Construction companies, submitting expressions of interest to any big project that comes my way, and working hand in hand with property developers to save a spot for my company in these projects.
