Meet in Person
Aerospace & Defence Senior Executive
I am an innovative aerospace and defence leader with more than 20 years of international experience, running multimillion engineering companies, R&D programs, manufacturing plants and business units.
Including my role as Plant Manager in MTorres I have held senior management positions in engineering, manufacturing technologies and industrial automation organizations, particularly some of the best 1st tier suppliers working for Airbus, but also with a foothold in other industries like shipbuilding and process automation.
I gained earlier in my career a very solid technical background working as an aerospace and defence engineer for Boeing in the US and Australia, Airbus in Europe and Embraer (via Aernnova) in Brazil. After a successful career as an aerostructures specialist I got an MBA from INSEAD (ranked #1 full time programme in the world by www.ft.com) and since then I have contributed to the growth and international expansion of companies with a strong focus on technology and R&D.
I am a cohesive leader who thinks nurturing people and help them grow is the best way to make an organization flourish.
I love fostering innovation, particularly bottom-up innovation, and have introduced new technologies and methodologies whenever I have seen the opportunity. I encourage and work towards the adoption of Industry 4.0 concepts like Augmented Reality (I have been a board member of www.thearea.org) and advanced robotics. I have led the adoption of methodologies like Agile, EVM and Critical Chain Project Management, as well as Design Thinking as an innovation tool from engineering to sales and commercial operations.
