Your story is important, and unfortunately more difficult to grasp if no-one is paying attention. Learning how to understand your experience as an unfolding story is key to achieving confidence, clarity and competence. I founded the Story Clinic to help individuals and groups work with the sense of story in a fun yet real way. The body itself is more like a story than a machine, and health is an important aspect of how you choose your chapters, characters and moods, and indeed, even the challenges to be faced.
I’ve taught in schools, colleges and universities for forty years, and am an academic, entrepreneur, author, poet and CAM practitioner.
The sense of story is extremely versatile and applies to all spheres of living, from challenges at home, to work change, to questioning long-held beliefs, to cultural criticism. No matter where you are in your story, some “shared readership” always helps to find the way.
