Graduate of U.S. Army Ranger School
Experience Description: 10.5 years of leading teams varying from 3 - 25 people in both office and expeditionary settings.
For the past 10.5 years, I’ve been serving in the United States Air Force. Before joining the service, I was a “jack of all trades, but a master at none.” The reason for that is because I was never challenged to push myself to my limit and never found anything worth pursuing with all my effort. The military changed that mentality for me. Within my first two years of service I nearly got dishonorably discharged three times; all for actions of my own accord. It wasn’t until I took responsibility for these actions, learned from them, and reoriented where I wanted to go with my career that I found success and my true capabilities.
Since my third strike I’ve been pushing my life forward with a sincere passion and hunger for success. I define that success by making those around me, and myself, better each and every day. One of the most demanding goals I had for my career was to graduate from U.S. Army Ranger School. To many this is known as the world’s most elite leadership course. 61-days of food and sleep deprivation, all while orienting the rugged mountains of Georgia and the unforgiving swamps of Florida (not to mention the 90-105# on your back). My journey to earning my Ranger Tab took me 4 years. The trials and tribulations I encountered on this journey molded me into the leader that I am today.
Since pursuing and ultimately graduating this course I have completed my Associates, Bachelors and 2/3 of my Master’s Degree; all while continuing military service. My experience with leading teams ranges from leading teams through hostile territory in the middle-east all the way to leading teams in an “office-setting.” These varying leadership experiences have taught me how to adapt and overcome the difficulties of organizational change and conflicts in the workplace. As well as how to accomplish short-notice goals/tasks with excessive internal and external stressors.
I use fitness as a key component in my foundation for daily hunger and motivation. I believe that in order to be mentally and spiritually connected with our goals, we must also be connected physically (“Hard body, hard mind”). I’m well trained in developing and leading physical fitness regiments as well as dietary improvements.
If you’re looking for someone who can provide you with the motivation and the “why” behind improving your personal and work performance, then reach out to me. I truly am passionate about using my broad range of experiences and skill sets to help so many of my coworkers, friends, and family. Don’t hesitate on pursuing your goals and passions, start today.
