My Master’s Degree is in Professional Development, K-12, is directly aligned with mentoring individuals to achieve their goals. My passion and ability to support others is evident in the following initiatives of which I am currently involved. First, I am an Alverno Undergraduate Assessor. My role is comprised of observing students in particular settings and providing one to one, constructive and evaluative feedback specific to global perspective, analysis, problem-solving, decision-making, and effective citizenship skill development. This supports improvement of life skill interactions they express as they enter the workforce. Second, I am an at-risk High School Assessor through Nepris. This position involves utilizing specific criteria framed to support students’ abilities to self-assess. This assessment is part of a Micro-Enterprise Credential program they must complete.

When I work with mentees, I do my best to find out the bottom line issue of what they want me to assist them with.

I try to share as much knowledge as I possibly can without becoming to overwhelming. If there is an question or concern that I can’t help with, I will do everything within my ability to come up with a answer, solution or find someone that can provide me with the answers.

There are so many positive aspects of having a mentor that I cherish every moment of it. Let me help you and then you can pass all that you learn forward.

Sounds simple however we are often our own best or worst enemies on the path to our own success. To make progress past what we are used to, it often takes a third party, a disassociated observer to see the obvious trip point than others get accustomed to as normal. Normal is great for those with no desire to excel beyond that point, for the rest of us its a set point to challenge and change within ourselves first before its evident elsewhere. If you are ready to Kick ‘but’ then let’s connect!

Having my own Personal Careers Advice & Guidance Service has given me extensive knowledge in how to help people with their career planning, to include any necessary education, and helping people to create their own action plans to help them achieve.  I have done this for 7 years, which I believe is a lot of experience and makes me fully capable and prepared to help others in finding and achieving their own success.

However, all of my work over the last 16 years has incorporated working with people in a holistic way.  Meaning that I look at the whole person and all participating factors, rather than just the perceived factor/issue.

Life is about more than just a job, hobby or a qualification.  Therefore looking at everything people have to deal with in their lives, gives them a better chance of making their own success stories.

I have worked with a wide range of individuals, not only in age range ( children, young people, adults and grandparents) to people from more affluent areas, to those from more deprived areas and backgrounds.  Making it very easy for me to adapt to different people and the areas of work needed to provide them with an excellent service.

My methods rely heavily on science. I love to introduce concepts that are bleeding edge and perhaps unconventional, but are backed by data and studies. My mentees will walk away with reassurance that little changes can make tremendous impacts, and will be able to decide for themselves which little changes to make.
